比利时鲁文（2005年7月29日讯）LMS国际公司宣布DAF卡车选用LMS Virtual.Lab Motion软件对其柴油发动机的复杂动力学性能进行仿真和优化。DAF卡车公司是一家总部在荷兰的汽车生产商，生产中型和重型商用车，属于Paccar公司的分公司。DAF卡车公司将使用LMS Virtual.Lab引导柴油发动机不同结构的设计，这些柴油发动机通常用于其商用车和第三方应用，如公共汽车、长途汽车和发电机等等。
LMS Virtual.Lab Motion使得DAF工程师可以准确地预测关键发动机属性，包括曲轴和凸轮轴的扭振、飞轮旋转、轴承负载和凸轮轴扭距。在整个动力总成系统都可以评价动态应力。同时载荷可作为LMS Virtual.Lab Noise and Vibration的输入，用于研究发动机振动并分析噪声问题的潜在根源。这样，DAF卡车就可以快速评价不同发动机配置的性能范围，并平衡经常相互矛盾的要求，包括驱动力、油耗、重量、可靠性、结构振动和发动机声音等等，所有这些都无需昂贵费时的样机试验。
