The integrated CAT/SYSNOISE solution embeds the world's leading acoustic prediction tool, LMS SYSNOISE, into CATIA, the world's leading computer-aided-design/manufacturing/engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE) tool from Dassault Systemes (NYSE, DASTY). CAT/SYSNOISE allows the user to predict acoustic performance directly from the CAD model, without the need to wait for the formal engineering analysis phase of the product development process. CAT/SYSNOISE makes it easier to make well-informed concept-level decisions, examine more candidate designs, and avoid the flawed concept altogether.
LMS has simplified modeling procedures and has eliminated unnecessary data interfacing and exchange, so that CAT/SYSNOISE will make sound field prediction more practical for the entire engineering community. Expert acoustic engineers will benefit from the automated frequency-dependent meshing from the CAD model, which significantly reduces the time spent on the creation of dedicated acoustic models.
