The LMS Test.Xpress Human Body Vibration is a powerful certification tool for the determination of transmitted vibration to human body according to internationally recognizes ISO2631 (Whole Body Vibration) & ISO5349 (Hand-arm Vibration) standards. The data acquisition hardware is based on the multi-channel LMS SCADAS Mobile front-end that covers the required channel count prescribed in each standard as well as combined Whole Body Vibration and Hand-arm Vibration measurements.
LMS Test.Xpress Human Body Vibration allows the measurement of time signals depending on the ISO required position (standing, seated or recumbent) and/or configuration (one or two hand grips). In accordance with the standard, time signals are measured, weighted with appropriate time domain filters followed by the calculation of vector sum and the corresponding weighted RMS. In the case of Hand-arm Vibration; the weighted RMS values are mapped against the prescribed limits to deduce compliance with ISO5349. In the case of Whole Body Vibration; the weighted RMS values and crosschecked with the prescribed limits in ISO2631 to indicated compliance. Direct measurement feedback is given in real-time through graphical 2D display as well as color-coded optical feedback that clearly indicates violation of the exposure and/or limit values as specified in the ISO standard. The process is completed with detailed report in MS Excel and/or Word. For future reference and regular update of "assessment risk", raw time data and all on-line data processing is stored in a single project file. The raw data can be retrieved for further off-line analysis and thus avoiding test repetition.
To ensure compliance with ISO measurement process and to minimize operator error, the complete procedure (from measurement to reporting) is fully automated and protected by a user-defined password. The automation tool allows test definition with specific measurement settings, preferred data visualization format, appropriate numerical functions for data analysis and a company style report. The pre-defined measure-analysis-report is then executed in 3-click user interface.
