System for recording and analysis of high-bandwidth phenomena in rotating machinery
The LMS Test.Lab 32 channel High Speed Throughput Recording and Processing system provides a powerful tool for the recording of high-speed data from structures such as gas turbines, jet engines and propulsion systems. Configured with a LMS SCADAS 316 front-end with 32 dynamic channels for ICP and Voltage signals, each with more than 80 kHz effective bandwidth, this system can record continuous time data while monitoring online and in real-time user configurable processing functions. For online rpm tracking, 1 or more PDT modules can optionally be installed (for up to 8 tacho’s), while more channels or different signal conditioning can be also chosen.
The Signature Throughout workbook writes the time histories for all channels directly to the PC hard disc. The resulting TDF-data files have no physical size limitations and contain all dynamic and static channels, rpm-time traces for all tacho channels and overload information for each individual channel. Highly responsive level indicators provide an instantaneous overview of all channel levels, and provide high or low alarming capabilities on detected peak levels. Online and offline processing and visualization capabilities include instantaneous or averaged frequency spectra, time data, octave data, order and frequency sections, overall levels, waterfall and colormap displays displayed versus time, versus any of the rpm or quasi-static channels. Highest priority is given to the throughput data and level detection, while the displays show the latest processed data.
Once the data is acquired, it is immediately ready for visualization and post-processing. The user interface allows the user to interactively select specific time segments on a few channels, or to batch process all channels, even from different runs measurement runs.
Upon request special configurations for high-channel count, very long duration gapless recording and monitoring, and automated data archiving can be provided.
