LMS Test.Lab Validation Testing

The LMS Test.Lab Validation Testing group of solution packages focuses on validation testing in support of design and development. While the qualification testing solutions in the Environmental Testing suite meet all requirements of the environmental testing qualification standards, the solution packages in this range address both the need to qualify the test item as well as to gather valuable engineering feedback for the design engineers.

The closed loop vibration control products included in this set of solution packages incorporate a safe, fast, accurate and reliable control algorithm, certified for spacecraft testing. The vibration control systems can be expanded to hundreds of control, measurement and limiting channels. For those cases in which testing requires even more channels, the vibration control system can be extended with an online reduction system using the same measurement algorithms as the vibration control system but on an acquisition-only reduction system. In this way, the overall measurement capacity in the testing laboratory is extended even further.

Thanks to the synchronization lines between both systems, the online reduction system can be controlled completely by the vibration control system. For extra data safety, an optional built-in tape recorder function allows storing the raw time histories of the complete test run at a user-defined sample frequency, without degrading in any way the performance of the online reduction system.
The acquired data is immediately available for post-test analysis using high-end engineering tools available in the same LMS Test.Lab environment, ranging from 3D animation (as a standard), to operational modal analysis, up to FEA (Finite Element Analysis) correlation (optional).
